Graduations are being held at all regional Campuses and some communities, April 2007

Graduations are under way at all regional campuses and in some communities. In Cambridge Bay, April 12th was graduation day for 30 students receiving either a certificate or diploma in Human Services Counselling, Office Administration or Adult Basic Education. A special ceremony was held in Coral Harbour on April 17th to recognize students who completed the diploma level of the Jewellery and Metal Work program which had been offered entirely in the community for the past two years.

In Iqaluit, April 19th was graduation day for 60 students receiving either a certificate or diploma in a diverse range of courses including carpentry or college foundations. Students were recognized for accomplishments in programs such as Early Childhood Education, Environment Technology, Inuit Studies, Interpreter/Translator, Jewellery, and Metal Work.

Graduation ceremonies were held in Rankin Inlet on April 26th for students completing certificate or diploma programs in Management Studies or Office Administration. Ceremonies are also being held in some communities to recognize students completing Special Programs.

During the month of June, graduations will be held for students completing a degree program in Nursing or Teacher Education in Iqaluit. Students in Arviat will be completing their fourth and final year of the Teacher Education program.
